Suffolk New College
Following the transfer of the higher education provision offered by Suffolk College to University Campus Suffolk on the 1st August, the opportunity was taken to rebrand the College as Suffolk New College and to redirect its focus solely on Further Education (vocational programmes, AS/A Levels, GCSEs and Apprenticeships), and the needs of local people and businesses.
Suffolk New College, sporting its new brand, has now welcomed its first students. The new brand has been well received; the Health and Social care students at their induction day said, “that it was colourful, interesting and modern, and stands out well.” Lucy Turney, Vice President of the Students’ Union said, “The new image is aimed to appeal to students, it’s smart and funky”.
To mark the launch all 1st year students have been given a Suffolk New College engraved USB pen to enable them to download important College documents including the student handbook and save course work.
Suffolk New College Principal, Dave Muller said, “I’m delighted to welcome the first cohort of students to Suffolk New College, it’s an exciting time for both for the students and the future of the College.”
