NATIONAL DIPLOMA STUDENTS CELEBRATE - 17 AUGUST 2006

Alongside the celebrations of students delighted by their A level results today were another happy group who had gained excellent results in their National Diplomas

National Diplomas are nationally recognised qualifications, which are the equivalent to 3, A levels, and take 2 years to complete. At Suffolk College which offers National Diplomas in a wide range of subjects, 226 students completed the programme and 96% of successfully passed with nearly half of them gaining high grades.

Marilyn Watsham Deputy Principal (Designate) said “National Diplomas are an excellent choice for many school leavers presenting a real alternative to A level study. I am especially pleased with the results of Performing Arts, and Art and Design where 75% of students gained high grades. Many of these are progressing to higher education and we wish them continued success.

For further information on National Diplomas starting September 06 please come to our school leavers advice day at Suffolk College on Friday 25th August 10am – 4.00pm
