The LINK offers students the opportunity into learning by progressing in areas of interest, expanding on skills and building on qualifications and fulfilling their potential as learners.
The LINK ensures that choice is offered with a variety of high quality learning experiences. The LINK has a multi-agency approach making a smooth transition links into learning/employment.
We offer individual learning with choice and clear pathways, involving connexions and other agencies.
The LINK celebrates achievement and recognises potential at a pace that is right for the student.
The LINK engages all students in a fun and exciting way into learning by offering creative learning packages that develops personal and social skills and encourages motivation through learning.
The LINK has a track record of creative learning with the students wellbeing and choice driving the centre forward.
The LINK provides full time courses for young people aged 16-18 and, in some instances, up to 25, with additional learning needs. Students receive a programme of study from an experienced staff dedicated to preparing them to move on into further education and/or to help prepare them for independent living.
The LINK also links with local High Schools to provide a programme of academic and vocational education for 14-16 year olds. Students develop practical skills (for example, in painting and decorating or catering) that help widen their horizons and prepare them for the next step in their education in either school or college.
