Part Time Courses

Part time courses include a suite of qualifications for Playwork, Teaching Assistants, NVQ’s in Children’s Learning and Development (Levels 2 and 3), NVQ in Health and Social Care (Level 2 and 3). There has been significant growth in this area to meet government targets to provide quality childcare and enhance the qualifications of care workers. We expect this provision will continue to expand to meet the demands of the local economy. To see full course listings for our part time courses please click here.

In addition, we are also able to provide continuing professional development to experienced practitioners through the A1 and V1 Awards.

To deliver the curriculum, the centre has an integrated team of well qualified lecturers, learning support assistants and assessors, who maintain and develop their occupational competence.

All students in the curriculum centre engage in placements, trips and visits in

appropriate work settings. We work closely with providers of services in the community to ensure the success of the courses. Care, Education and Public Services is a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) and has established strong links with other providers of Care and Early Years training including, Suffolk Education Department and Social Services, Social Services and Suffolk County Council Early Years and Childcare Training Unit.
