Suffolk Institute Of Technology Learning Point Welcomed Its First Visitors - 10 February 2004

The Suffolk Institute of Technology (SIT) Learning Point, at the Hadleigh Business & Learning Centre, welcomed its first visitors on Wednesday 21 January 2004.

Following the IPSENTA annual general meeting at the Babergh District Council office, guests were taken to tour the facilities and for refreshments at the Hadleigh Business and Learning Centre in Crockatt Road.

Suffolk College is currently making preparations to open the Learning Point to the public. Among the proposed facilities is a learndirect centre, which would bring access to hundreds of on-line to meet the needs of local businesses and the wider community. High on the agenda will be IT training, with programmes for the complete beginner as well as the more advanced user.

The formal launch of the SIT Learning Point will take place in late March/early April.
