Suffolk College Chaplain Moving On - 2 February 2004
Best Wishes go to Tony Fowler, Anglican Chaplin and Team Leader of the Multi Faith Chaplaincy at Suffolk College, who leaves at the end of January to take up a new position as Prison Chaplain at HMP Coldingley in Surrey.
Tony has been at Suffolk College since September 2000. During his time here, amongst other things:
• he helped establish the Civic Celebrations on the College calendar
• a quiet room has been established for both staff and students
• he arranged for PAVE Construction Students to go to the Millennium Tower project at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral
• gave talks on ethics to Business and Nursing Students, as well as talking to nursing students about bereavement and coping with terminal illness
The Multi-faith Chaplaincy caters for various Christian denominations, the Jewish, Muslim and Sikh faiths, amongst others, as well as providing a place where students and staff can go for a chat and coffee.
