Students Return to Show Professional Work - 17 March 2005
‘Back to Front’ Exhibition
ForeFront Gallery, Suffolk College
10.00am - 4.00pm, 22 – 24 March 2005
Over 40 ex-students of Graphic Design are returning to Suffolk College next week to exhibit their professional work undertaken since they graduated.
The exhibition Back To Front, in the ForeFront Gallery at the College, features examples of advertising, magazine design, TV graphics, packaging and websites designed by the students since they left the Graphic Design course.
Russell Walker, design lecturer and organiser of the exhibition, said: ‘It is great to see our ex-students doing so well, and this exhibition is a real encouragement to our present students on the course and anyone thinking of studying graphic design in the future.’
The Graphic Design course at Suffolk College has been in existence for over fifteen years at BA degree and Diploma level, producing hundreds of graduates now working in local, national and international design positions. A new Foundation Degree in Graphic Design starts in September, replacing the HND course which trained so many successful designers.
Brian Holder, Associate Dean of the School of Arts, said: ‘We try to combine traditional values of caring for our students and helping them to mature as people, as well as teaching them the most up-to-date technical and creative methods used in the design industry today.’
The exhibition opens on Tuesday 22 March and runs until Thursday 24 March at the College.
