Honour For Suffolk College Director Of Estates (Master Builder) - 7 April 2004

John Norman, Director of Estates at Suffolk College, has been honoured by the East Anglian Branch of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). At their recent Regional Dinner, John received the East Anglian Branch Chairman’s recognition of achievement award, an exceptional honour bestowed only when an individual from the region - which covers Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk - has made an outstanding contribution to the Chartered Institute of Building and the local community.

As well as his work for the Suffolk Centre of the CIOB, an organisation to which he has belonged for over 20 years, John is also an honorary member of the Suffolk Association of Architects, Vice Chairman of the Ipswich Society and a member of the Ipswich Borough Council Conservation and Advisory Panel. In his role at Suffolk College, John is playing a key part in the University Campus Suffolk project and the development of a new Further Education college in Ipswich.
