SUFFOLK NEW COLLEGE IS ON-IT… ARE YOU?

Suffolk New College is partnering with three Suffolk-based learning providers to launch an inspirational course aimed at 16-18 year olds.

The ‘ONIT’ foundation learning programme links the college with two charities - CSV Media and the ITFC Charitable Trust and education learning provider, 4rce Training.

The course will provide young people, who are yet to settle on their direction in life, with a wide variety of activities including a level 1 City and Guilds award in employability and personal development, as well as vocational tasters at sites around Ipswich, including the college itself.

All students will have a personal tutor to help them succeed and progress to the next stage of their development, finding employment with training, an apprenticeship or a further course at Suffolk New College.

Assistant Principal at Suffolk New College, Catherine Forsdike said; “There is no doubt that, for many young people, the need to select a career path at 16 is something they are just not prepared for. ‘ONIT’ will allow them time to develop their skills and experience and help students make the choice that suits them best”.

Courses start in October 2011 and January next year.
