Suffolk New College and Ipswich Buses working together

Suffolk New College is working in close partnership with Ipswich Buses to help reach the Evening Stars 100 in 100 apprenticeship target. The College has worked with Ipswich Buses, a company that are totally committed to the training and development of their staff, for many years - having trained over 100 of their employees to achieve qualifications.

Ipswich Buses currently have three apprentices studying with Suffolk New College; two of them are due to complete their apprenticeship in June this year and will be offered permanent employment.

Ipswich Buses is working closely with the College as they are looking to recruit more apprentices this year. Nigel Daniels, Operations Manager of Ipswich Buses recently visited the College to work alongside second year Motor Vehicle students to give them an insight into the skills and qualities Ipswich Buses expects from their employees. It was a great opportunity for the students to speak with an employer about the world of work and learn more about the role an apprentice was with Ipswich Buses.
