Sad Death of Corporation Member

Commenting on the sad news that James Hehir, a very senior member of Suffolk New College Corporation and Chief Executive of Ipswich Borough Council has died suddenly, Dave Muller, Principal of Suffolk New College said

"We are all very saddened at the loss of such a great individual.

"James has had an enormous impact on education in Ipswich, Suffolk and the wider region.  As a College we are indebted to James' vision and his work with us to establish University Campus Suffolk and the development of our fantastic new college which opened in September.

"Our thoughts are with James' wife Sally and his family"
