Dave Muller, Principal of Suffolk New College said: “It has been a great honour to dedicate our fabulous new Film Theatre facilities to Ivan; he was a great friend of the college and worked hard to help establish this new building with us. It is also a great dedication to the work he completed in the area and I know he will be proud of the students that will achieve in their studies in this theatre.”
Ivan Cutting, Eastern Angles said: ”A film theatre that is a tribute to Ivan Howlett is brilliant and what better place for such a theatre, deep in the bowels of Suffolk New College, the very foundation of everything this wonderful new college stands for. If Ivan was anything it was rooted and grounded and this working space is an ideal tribute to a man who liked to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in”.
