Long Serving Member of staff retires

CELEBRATION OF LONG SERVING MEMBER OF STAFF

On Friday 1 April 2011 Suffolk New College said goodbye to a long serving member of its Business Support staff. Andrew Digby, Facilities and Contracts Manager retired after 36 years working at the College.

Andrew started at the College on 1January 1975 and took on various positions during his time including Senior Administration Officer, Deputy Registrar, Deputy Director of Human Resources, Deputy Clerk to the Corporation culminating in Facilities and Contracts Manager within our Facilities department.

A meal was held for Andrew in Shelley’s Restaurant on Wednesday 30 March 2011 where colleagues, members of corporation and past members of staff celebrated and reminisced and said goodbye to a great member of the team.

Professor Dave Muller said: “I would like to thank Andrew for all his dedication and commitment to the College over his 36 years service. Andrew has taken on a wide range of senior roles for the College and he has always showed exceptional professionalism. We wish him well for his retirement.”
