End of Year Celebration 2010 - 2011
Suffolk New College is holding its End of Year Celebration for students on Wednesday 29 June 2011 in the Atrium of the new building. It will be the first time we are holding these celebrations in one day, in our fantastic atrium. This year there will be two events across the day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Over 1,000 Suffolk New College students will be achieving their qualifications during the summer and they have been invited to attend the event with family and friends to celebrate. Each curriculum centre will also present Special Award Winners for their achievement in their course with trophies and a prize, which have been sponsored by local businesses. Special Award winners are nominated by their tutors for their exceptional work and dedication to their course.
This year’s special guests are College Fellow Rachel Sloane, award winning broadcaster and writer with over 35-years experience in local radio, magazines and newspapers and Steve Flory, successful local businessman (and former Suffolk College Student). Steve has recently been seen climbing Kilimanjaro for EACH, he has also built a school in Tanzania, climbed to Everest base camp and built an igloo at the North Pole for St Elizabeth’s Hospice.
After the event, the students and their guests get to catch up with friends and tutors whilst enjoying light refreshments.
