A Passion to Inspire Cookery competition - Final

“THE FINAL” Thursday 7^th April 2011 Suffolk New College Ipswich 10.00 – 18.00

Ever wanted to give a bit back and really help students find a future in the industry that has given you so much? John Jackaman & Murray Chapman did and “A Passion To Inspire” was born.

This event pairs local employers (Chefs, FOH Managers) with College Students &  Lecturers of all levels in a light hearted but competitive manner with a view to not only win but also to network & impress prospective employers, employees 8 teams (1 x Chef 1 x FOH) whittled down from 41 starters from 4 local colleges (Colchester Institute, Cambridge Regional College, Suffolk New College and West Suffolk College) have come through the heats to contest some fabulous prizes that include 3 Stagés’, 1 at Michelin Starred Hotel & Restaurant The Devonshire Arms + 2 at local eateries, A Supporting role to Celebrity Chefs at the Skills for Chefs Conference 2011, Goody bags from supporting partners. So far during the heats this event has seen 14 Students offered Full Time Employment, Work Experience or Mentoring on a 1-2-1 basis.

This simple format can be used in all spheres of education at all levels. Please make it your business to help them achieve, these students really are your future.
