Human Resources is managed by Mary Gleave, Director of Human Resources, External Relations and Estates. Mary is also a Member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the Principal. Part of her role, through close liaison with other members of SLT, Corporation Members, managers, trade union representatives and staff within the College, is to develop the College's HR strategy. This includes strategic planning in respect of corporate initiatives, maintaining and advising on staffing structures and best practice and interpreting and implementing new employment law legislation.

The team's HR Advisers and HR Assistants are committed to providing an extensive and efficient HR service College wide. The College's payroll system is managed within the team and is headed by the Payroll and Information Senior Officer.

The team prides itself on its recruitment and selection strategies and techniques and has maintained its ability to attract and recruit high calibre employees despite recent skill shortages in certain areas of the industry.
