Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper joined the Corporation in August 2006. He is also a member of the Finance and Employment Committee.

Mike is a Chartered Accountant and currently Group Finance Director for the Seven group of companies – a local commercial vehicle and property group employing nearly 200 people. Previously Mike was Finance Director at Ipswich Town Football Club for four years.

Mike trained at local Accountants Ensors before a 17 year spell at leading international Accountants KPMG, where he worked in London and Ipswich. During this time he had experience running the external audit of Suffolk College and twelve other East Anglian Colleges. He also has extensive experience in Business Plans, Capital Projects, raising debt and financial accounting generally.

Mike is a keen runner, having completed three London Marathons, and is also Treasurer of St Elizabeth Hospice.
