Elizabeth Harsant

Elizabeth Harsant spent most of her working life in the legal profession, mainly in residential conveyancing. She worked for a London firm of solicitors with a branch office in Ipswich, running a large conveyancing department.

She then started up a Licensed Conveyancing Company and was later manager of a small firm dealing in patents and trademarks, mainly in the pharmaceutical world.

Elizabeth was elected to Ipswich Borough Council in 2002 for the Holywells Ward. In 2004 she became Portfolio Holder for Housing, and in 2005, Leader of the Council
